Sweet potato slips can be pre-ordered using the online form below or downloaded and emailed to secure your selection.
PRICING
If you purchase different varieties, then we will be charging the price per variety. In other words, 50 slip bundles of two different varieties will cost $6.00 x 4 = $24.00, not $20.00. Sorry, but there's just a lot more handling involved!
NOTICE: We DO NOT ship Sweet Potato Slips! No exceptions. Sweet Potato Slips must be picked up at 4805 NC Hwy 54 West – Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
Given the high volume of phone calls in our store these days, it's best to fill out the form below or email us your order. Send your order to sales@piedmontfeed.com and include the following:
You will receive an email saying "got it" within 24 hours. Within the next 1-7 days, your order will be entered in our system, and you will receive an official sales order confirmation. We are trying to enter these orders in batches once weekly as a time saving strategy. Payment is required at the time of order. Payments can be made over the phone by credit card after you've received your emailed order confirmation or in person.

Late May / Early June - Sweet potato slip arrival - We will announce a firm date when available. This date can fluctuate depending on the weather and when the slips are ready.
We will do everything in our power to get them as soon as they are ready to cut.

Skin Color: Rose
Flesh Color: Orange
Flesh Texture: Light, Moist
Varietal Characteristics: Short growing season, excellent yielder of uniform oblong tubers. Good storage. Resistant to streptomyces soil rot and fusarium wilt. Susceptible to root-knot nematode. Excellent choice for sweet potato pies and butter recipes.

Skin Color: Dark Rose
Flesh Color: Orange-Yellow
Flesh Texture: Light, Moist
Varietal Characteristics: 90% of commercial sweet potatoes grown in NC are Covington. It grows well in many different types of soil and produces high yields of uniform tubers. Resistant to fusarium wilt and moderately resistant to streptomyces soil rot and the southern root-knot nematode.
